Planning Applications for Static Holiday Caravans
The GVA Humberts Leisure Planning team has been involved in submitting a large number of planning applications for static holiday caravans in recent years. Some of our recent success stories are illustrated below.
Naze Marine Holiday Park, Essex
Tourist accommodation planning permission for 28 static caravans to replace 50 touring caravan pitches on a site at risk of coastal flooding. The application was approved following submission of a full Flood Risk Assessment with a recommended Flood Warning and Evacuation Procedure.
Camber Sands Holiday Park, Sussex
Tourism planning permission for 27 static holiday caravans to replace 39 former holiday chalets as part of a phased programme of improvements to the holiday accommodation stock. The application was submitted with a PPS25 Sequential and Exception Test together with a Flood Risk Assessment and recommended Flood Warning and Evacuation procedure.
Landguard Holiday Park, Isle of Wight
Tourist accommodation planning application for 54 static holiday caravans on former touring site. Application submitted with full planning statement highlighting national and local planning policy support for the development and supported by ecology report, tree report and detailed landscaping plans.
Bideford Bay Holiday Park, North Devon
Tourism planning application to replace 54 chalets and 6 A-frame cabins with 73 static holiday caravans. The application was submitted with detailed landscaping plans, a full planning statement (highlighting national policy & tourism strategy support), an ecological appraisal and indicative economic impact analysis.
Colehouse Farm Caravan Park
Tourism planning consent for the siting of static caravans on an existing touring field. The application was submitted with a full planning statement including justification for the loss of touring caravans and with no other issues raised, the application was approved.
Seaview Holiday Park, North Kent
A tourist accommodation planning application for new static caravans in place of existing old 1950's chalets together with new landscaping is currently being considered by the LPA. The application was submitted with a full planning statement highlighting national policy in support of high quality tourist accommodation in popular rural areas. In addition, Humberts Leisure prepared an economic impact assessment to demonstrate financial benefits.
The Lillies, Barnham, Sussex
Tourism planning permission for 2 extra statics, reorganization of the layout and an increase in the season from 8 to 11 months. The application was submitted with full planning statement including justification for the extension of season. With no other issues raised, the application was approved.
