Blairs College, Aberdeenshire
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting investigated the opportunity to convert Blairs College into a dynamic upmarket hotel and leisure resort with food and beverage outlets, conferencing, spa, leisure facilities and a championship golf course. We undertook a detailed business plan and have been appointed to secure an operator.
Aldourie Castle, Loch Ness
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting was commissioned to advise on the feasibility of an up-market residential and leisure scheme. The resorted Castle opened in 2009 as one of the most magnificent exclusive-use properties in Europe. GVA Humberts Leisure provided consulting, valuation and strategic advice.
Proposed Cumbria Leisure Park
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting devised a business plan and financial appraisal in order to establish the viability of an exciting holiday village proposal on the edge of the Lake District, including 450 upmarket lodges. The business model assisted with financing, funding, grant assistance and for valuation purposes.
Luxury Hotel, North Yorkshire
Raithwaite Hall is set to be come one of the finest country house retreats in the North of England, comprising a 45 bedroom five-star hotel, elemis spa, conference facility and holiday cottages. GVA Humberts Leisure provided consulting and valuation advice. The hotel is expected to open in 2011.
Spa Resort, Langdale Estate, Lake District
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting provided an independent evaluation of the feasibility of a luxury destination spa resort at the Langdale Estate in the Lake District. In addition, we undertook a critique of the management's financial trading projections to determine the overall feasibility of the scheme. The spa has now been successfully launched.
Proposed Hotel/Serviced Apartments, London
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting is often asked to provide feasibility studies for hotel developments. The reports are generally used to assist with operator selection and for funding and valuation purposes. A recent example included an evaluation of converting a Grade II Listed building in the heart of London’s insurance district (EC3), into either a luxury hotel and/or serviced apartments.
Proposed Visitor Centre, Nottinghamshire
Following the decline of the mining industry, Ashfield District Council had implemented a number of regeneration initiatives. This included plans for a new visitor centre. GVA Humberts Leisure undertook a tourism feasibility study into viability and a range of supporting uses that would assist in sustaining this type of operation.
Holiday Centre Feasibility, Angus
The GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting team carried out a feasibility study relating to the market opportunity for a proposed holiday centre comprising holiday lodges and tourism pitches. The study included a detailed market-led research programme and culminated in a detailed financial and investment appraisal.
