Cinema Appraisal, East London
GVA Humberts Leisure's Consulting team undertook a detailed cinema appraisal on the market opportunity and viability, or otherwise, of bringing a former cinema in East London back into use. The market study was supported by a soft marketing campaign to assess potential cinema operators.
Hotel Appraisal, Sheffield
GVA Humberts Leisure Consulting carried out a market demand appraisal for the development of a Hampton by Hilton in Sheffield – Hilton's economy brand. GVA Humberts Leisure has extensive experience and specialist hotel sector knowledge to advise on hotel development opportunities both within the UK and overseas.
Lodge-based Resort, Isle of Portland
Coombefield Quarry on the Isle of Portland in Dorset was coming to the end of its quarrying lifespan. As a result, the quarry's owners – together with their joint venture partners – appointed GVA Humberts Leisure's tourism consultants to advise on the potential for a major destination resort complex within the quarry to maximise land values and thus their return on current and potential future investment.
Development of a 'Sports Village' Concept
Our client was considering the roll-out of a 'Sports Village' concept at a number of sites across the UK. Centred on leisure, sports & recreation facilities, this included a football academy, waterpark, urban leisure, a hotel and residential apartments. Our leisure consulting team was asked to formulate a strategic plan for the development of the concept and market study to assess likely levels of demand and rental income that could be achieved from each of the components being considered.
Arts & Leisure Centre, Stevenage
Located in the heart of Stevenage, the building is a multi-use community facility including sports facilities and a theatre. As part of the wider regeneration of the town centre, GVA Humberts Leisure was commissioned to advise on the future of the Centre, including a detailed market assessment of the potential to create a dedicated theatre, conference and events venue.
