Sanctuary Spa sold for ₤75m

PZ Cussons, maker of Imperial Leather soap, has acquired the Sanctuary Spa brand from private equity firm HgCapital for ₤75m.  The deal will see Cussons take control of the Sanctuary day spa at Covent Garden, UK, as well as the Sanctuary line of personal care products.  The company announced the deal as it posted an 8% rise in first half pre-tax profit to ₤32.5m, and a 7% increase in sales to ₤299.5m.
