YorkBoat represents one of the largest fleets of modern sightseeing, restaurant and party boats outside London and is the principal provider of river cruises on the Ouse in the vibrant City of York.
The business, under the ownership of John & Denise Howard since 1989 has continued to prosper and capitalise on the growing popularity of York as one of the country’s top tourist destinations.
YorkBoat’s spread of income streams is derived from guided river trips, public and private chartered cruises and the distinctive red boat fleet of self-drive day hire boats. The business benefits from a boatyard at Lendal bridge with slipway, workshop, offices and staff facilities. In addition, there are a number of moorings at various strategic visible sites, including the South Esplanade/Kings Staith, along the Ouse, with further moorings and facilities on the River Foss.
