Developer sought for Morecambe Bay regeneration

South Lakeland council is looking for a preferred developer for the redevelopment of three adjacent sites in Morecambe Bay, Cumbrian. The council has said that land is suitable for a mixed-use scheme including residential, business space, leisure and hotel uses. The derelict sites are currently occupied by a former open air swimming pool, indoor pool and car park, along with associated administrative offices and changing rooms. A shortlist of up to six will be chosen to draw up detailed plans, and interested developers have until 23 May to apply. Lancashire-based consultant NPS North West is representing South Lakeland Council.
