Developers of the Cromwell Retail Park, which will replace Wisbech Stadium, have dropped plans for a ten-pin bowling alley in favour of a 1,000-seat cinema due to “extreme lack in market interest”.  The firm is now looking to expand the confirmed six-screen cinema from 680 to 1,000 seats.  Over half the retail outlets on the site have already been assigned along with three restaurants one of which is Frankie and Benny’s.  The firm is also in negotiations for further family leisure facilities to complement the cinema.  Construction will begin end of June 08, with the view to be completed by September 09.
