Holiday resort Butlins is to sign a 125-year lease to remain in Bognor – netting millions of pounds for the town. Its owners will sign a new lease agreement with Arun District Council on Thursday. The council hopes the deal will pave the way for even more money to be invested in Butlins and Bognor through schemes such as the plans for a new 200-bedroom spa hotel which could accommodate up to 720 guests which has been given planning permission. The 200-bedroom hotel will replace the resort’s former call centre building as well as 256 of its outdated apartment. It is expected to open by next summer.
