Children’s activity holiday provider PGL has acquired the Windmill Hill Tennis & Golf Academy in East Sussex.  The 20-acre site includes a 2,000sq ft sports hall, four indoor and 14 outdoor tennis courts – which hosted a Davis Cup competition in 1985 – a nine-hole golf course, an 18-hole putting green and a heated outdoor swimming pool.  The club’s Grade II-listed mansion has 25 bedrooms.  PGL plans to invest ₤6m in redeveloping the site into an activity centre for children and expects to open the site in May 2009.
