The British Land Company Plc is proposing a comprehensive redevelopment of land known as the River Don District. The area in question is located south and east of Meadowhall shopping centre. The proposals include up to 1,300 new homes, flats, 1.2m sq ft of offices, a hotel a neighbourhood centre and linear park. It is hoped that the development will act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the wider area.
