Rural holiday park expansion endorsed

The provision of 100 timber-clad cabins and a bistro at a holiday park in the Vale of York has been allowed after an inspector ruled that it would not adversely affect the area’s character or undermine sustainable development principles. The site was served by a local bus service to and from York and the appellants had demonstrated that the scheme would generate economic benefits of more than £400,000 per annum for local businesses and tourist enterprises.
