Berkeley Homes’ plans for a 56-bed boutique hotel redevelopment of St Olave’s Grammar School in Tooley Street, south London have been backed following a public inquiry. The makeover of the 1894-built school was the subject of a two-day public inquiry last month which focused principally on the proposed demolition of a toilet block to the north of the building and its replacement with a lift tower designed by architect Ian Ritchie.
